Teaching
Ana Maria has most recently settled in as tenure/track English faculty at Wenatchee Valley College, a short (well, short-ish) boat ride from Stehekin. She with fabulous colleagues including Derek Sheffield and Holly Thorpe.
Ana Maria teaches in the low-residency Graduate Program in Creative Writing at WCU in Gunnison, Colorado where she’ll works with friend and fellow writer, Laura Pritchett

Ana Maria previously served as Johnston Visiting Instructor at Whitman College, as Viebranz Professor of Creative Writing at St. Lawrence University, and as the Kittredge Distinguished Visiting Writer in Environmental Studies at the University of Montana.

She also travels to teach at conferences and workshops around the country. She has taught at the Chesapeake Writers Conference, Surprise Valley Writers Conference, Wordstock Festival, Write on the River, Orcas Island Lit Fest, River Teeth Nonfiction Conference, Fairfield University MFA program and elsewhere.
